Do I need to know how to code?
No. An AI tool does the coding. What helps is being able to describe your business clearly: who your customers are, what your team does, and the rules in between.
Is it free?
Building and testing are free, and your customers are free on every plan. Paid plans start at $29 a month, when you go live with real payments. Self-hosting is free too.
I already made an app with Lovable, Bolt or another tool. Can I keep it?
Usually, yes. Your AI connects the existing screens to Juxtaboard. Some screens may need changes for sign-in, permissions, errors and real data.
Will my app be ready for real customers automatically?
Juxtaboard gives you the foundation: sign-in, permissions, data, payments and the back office. Before launch, test every customer journey and every role, check your payment and messaging providers, and prepare your deployment. Your AI helps with each step.
Where does my app run?
The screens can be hosted anywhere, for example on Vercel. The business side runs on Juxtaboard Cloud, or on your own servers with Docker, free under our licence.
Can I host Juxtaboard for my clients?
Yes. You can run Juxtaboard for your own business and for your clients, as an agency or integrator. What the licence doesn't allow is offering Juxtaboard itself to others as a hosted service.
Can my team check AI replies before they're sent?
Yes. Set up a draft-and-approve step, so a reply goes out only after a person approves it. Other assistant tasks can run on their own within the limits you set.
Can customers install it on their phone?
Yes, as a web app they add to the home screen, with notifications on supported devices once they allow them. App-store apps and offline use need separate work.
What if my business has an unusual rule or integration?
Use the built-in building blocks where they fit, then extend with connectors, the API or custom development where they don't.
Is the AI that builds my app the same as the assistants in the back office?
No. Your AI coding tool builds and changes the app. Assistants inside Juxtaboard work in the running business: they sort requests, draft replies and help in conversations.
